Meet Shawna
Shawna Elliott helps golfers unlock their potential by understanding how the body moves within the golf swing and simplifying the path to improvement. Her coaching philosophy centers on simplifying a game that often feels unnecessarily complicated, guiding players toward a clearer and more confident approach to development.
Shawna’s background combines traditional golf instruction with advanced training in movement and biomechanics. She is the only Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 3 Fitness certified professional in the Quad Cities, and has continued her education through Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS). This specialized training allows her to evaluate how the body moves within the golf swing and identify the true starting point for improvement.
Rather than teaching players to chase swing positions, Shawna focuses on helping golfers develop movement patterns, simplified swing concepts, and effective practice habits that support lasting progress on the course.
In addition to her coaching work, Shawna serves as a board member for the Iowa PGA Section and was honored with the 2025 Iowa Section PGA Player Development Award, recognizing her commitment to growing the game and supporting golfers of all levels.
Shawna currently teaches at Crow Valley Golf Club and Palmer Hills Golf Course in the Quad Cities, where she works with beginners, developing players, and experienced golfers who are seeking a more thoughtful and individualized approach to improvement.
Through her work with Aligned Axis Golf Performance, Shawna helps players uncover their starting point, simplify the game, and build a path toward confident and sustainable performance.
“At the core of every person is the desire to challenge themselves, pursue meaningful goals, and discover what they are truly capable of.
Through the process of learning the game, we uncover the axis of that pursuit—where movement, awareness, and intention come into alignment.
At Aligned Axis, improvement is not about chasing quick fixes. It is about developing the skills, understanding, patience, and mindset that allow lasting progress. By learning to move well, practice with purpose, and approach the game with curiosity, golfers begin to align with their goals and experience the deeper satisfaction the game can offer.”
